The Lost and Found, Birmingham

So having returned back to the UK and my hometown, I was delighted to have a good catch up with my best friends. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect location other than the Lost and Found in Birmingham. It's been almost a year since I've been in Birmingham city centre, so it was a nice surprise to stumble upon this charming and botanical hideaway. It's been known, that Birmingham hasn't got the most scenic views as it surrounds itself in an industrial landscape. However, one thing it thrives in, is their Victorian style buildings. The Lost & Found does not shy away from the Victoria charm, although it still remain's a best kept secret on Bennetts Hill.

With the place shadowed with hanging flowerpots and lanterns, the decor really added to the beauty. A particular favourite of mine, were the swallow shaped lampshades leading towards the bathrooms. The food also did not disappoint, as we shared a vegetarian platter for starters. Although we consider ourselves proclaimed meat eaters, this really was quite scrumptious! Despite the duck asian style salad not really meeting expectations, the hanging skewers looked amazing and were confirmed just as good as it looks.
As tempting as the desserts and cocktails were, our lent sacrifices made us be good for the night (and was only another reason to come back). A highly recommended place to eat, drink and have a good ole catch up.
