Bodega, Birmingham

Yesterday, I went to Bodega's in Birmingham with my Mum. Although this place has been open for a number of years, the last time I remember going was 3 years ago for a friend's leaving do. So it has most cetainly been a while. This place brings a great South American twist to Birmingham. With a cool, urban layout bursting with bright Brazilian colours, it was topped up with South American music bringing out a great vibe. Luckily enough, we were able to get a table despite not booking. With a great choice of street food and light bites, it meant we had the option to be a bit more adventurous. We shared a small cajun chicken nachos (not so small for 2 people), the Tilapia fish and pico de gallo Tacos with a side of spicy slaw. All great and really tasty, but the dish of the day was the Ceviche Salad. A fresh seabass marinated in citrus juices - it was so scrumptious and I highly recommend trying it if you like something new. A great place to eat, try something different and all balanced with a good atmosphere.
