Last weekend my family came to visit me in Munich. Although the highlight of the weekend was getting fed like a king (blogpost to follow), we also knew how it felt like to be a king when visiting Munich Residenz. With an impressive 90 rooms in the palace and the Cuvillies-Theater being as extravangant as ever. The interior decoration flashed Renaissance, early Baroque and Rococo period eras. As for the location, it was bang in the city centre. Therefore there is no reason to travel outside Munich to visit the other palaces with the Residenz right at the end of your finger tips.
