This time last week, I had almost wet my pants when I realised I had won a twitter competition with Estrella (@EstrellaDammUK) and got myself 4 tickets to the Camden Beach Opening Party. This night had pretty sweet vibes, with entertainment set to the full and some pretty darn good beer to get us going. Although I've been to Camden beach on the top of the roundhouse before, it's always good to go back every year.
With sand, deck chairs and rum shacks - it definitely felt like you were a million miles away from London. As we delved in the pulled pork sandwiches, we managed to also get poetry written about us from the mobile poetry takeaway (@poetrytakeaway). A completely new concept, where you can get poetry written about you or anything you wanted. With @CVlawrence being our main poet man, we (me & my friend josh) got a poem about our friendship and spending Funday Sundays together. Oh, but the fun didn't stop there. There was Eliza Doolittle casually on the decks and face-painters ready to glam up your face with glitter. And as we were in the mood to play "around the world" ping pong, the night was made even better with the brilliant Birmingham based band called "Tempting Rosie". Although it ended at an early time of 11pm, we headed downstairs to the Roundhouse bar to continue the disco moves. A very sweet night, and a big thanks to Estrella for a real treat! If you haven't been there, get yourself to Camden for a out of city break.
