The Bay Lights

The San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge is gearing up to become the world's largest light sculpture when a new art exhibit comes to the landmark in the near future.
Artist Leo Villareal is lighting up more than 25,000 white LED lights across the San Francisco Oakland Bay bridge over 1.8 mile span to celebrate it's 75th anniversary. Starting in March 2013, the bridge will be lit from dusk until midnight for two years

The installation will look to cost about $8 million with energy efficient lights looking to be only $30 a day to run which in return is supposed to boost the local economy by about $97 million in two years.
