Smiths of Smithfields, Farringdon London

As my sister is turning one year older on Saturday, we thought we'd celebrate an early dining experience on the weekend just gone. Her choice of course. Although Emma works in Farringdon, she just couldn't get enough of the place as she suggested the Smith of Smithfields (SOS) right by Fabric nightclub. The venue itself used to be an  old warehouse, and despite the contemporary re-vamp - it still holds that industrial feel (which makes the venue just that slightly bit more awesome). Not only was the interior pretty sweet but so was the outside view, with wonderfully old buildings still kept in tact. The food was also a great cherry on top of the whole thing. A grillplace with meat so matured, it gives the cheese a run for it's money.

As we shared the meat platter, I then ordered the pork belly (admittedly not the most ideal place for vegetarians). The ice cream was also a right treat for the sweet tooths out there, with flavours so great from the salted caramel. If you just want a bit of meat in a industrial warehouse surrounded by contemporary flair - this place is for you.
